sew different

I decided my Woodland Necklace needed something special when it is sent off to its new home, so I sat myself down at my sewing machine and improvised a little something.
A jaquard material, closed with antique glass buttons.

Image transfered to cotton and attached to the back.

Two little "pillows" of unbleached cotton inside, one with green silk ribbons to tie the necklace in place - to keep it safe during mailing.

et voila! I think this will do the trick!

WOW! Not only is your idea such a great one, but the jewelry made my jaw drop! A totally beautiful package.

Renate, this is such a good solution for shipping a necklace, which has a tendancy to get tangled. But what I like most is that it makes for a beautiful place to keep the necklace once it arrives. Of cource it will be worn so often that it will rarely need a resting place! Very clever and beautiful.

What a lovely, delightful packet you made. It fits the necklace and earrings perfectly in size and "flavor"!
How clever to think of adding the ribbons at the corners to hold the necklace on, as well as the ones for the earrings and the centerpiece of the necklace.

Wow, how beautiful and clever of you! It's like a little picture frame made of a necklace inside. Gorgeous, too.
