Houston, we have a problem...

I am struggling with technical difficulties again. This time it is not the internet connection - no, it is my computer. It has had a nervous breakdown - well, at least I think so. It just cannot seem to cope with everyday life... sigh! It is losing its mind and, as a result, so am I!This means, I do not have access to my photos, so I will not be doing much posting until we have the problem(s) (yes, we suspect it is more than one problem... maybe not just software, but also hardware) fixed.

Fully understand how you feel - when my comp has a tantrum(s) it drives absolutely nuts :/

I hate when that happens. I had my hard drive fail last year and lost a ton of stuff.

Very frustrating.

BAd, bad computer. I also have very little patience or understanding for computer problems. I will cross my fingers that this is fixed up soon for you with minimal hair pulling and foot stompimg. Meanwhile, I'll be here waiting for you to get back to us.

Sorry to hear your silly computer is giving you problems. Been there done that. I think they do that every now and again just to remind us who is "really" in charge!

try to make sure you are all backed up! to an external hard drive or to mozy.com (back-up in the cloud)... you don't want to lose all of your photos, etc... and best luck ~

I have a love hate relationship with my computer. What did we do before them. I'll miss your pictures until you get it fixed.

Isn't it amazing how we depend on our computers for everyday communication, research, etc? I remember phones with the cords attached and no answering machines! How about two soup cans tied together with string?? Good luck with your computer problems.

I can feel your pain even way down here!!!! I'll send you all the good karma I can dig up. Do you think there is a patron saint for dying computers I might nudge??? :)

PS No my hardware stores are not like your flea markets. But some of them do carry some funky kinda stuff. Saddles, spurs, BBGs made out of car wheels (the metal part) :)

hi, renate - i just read your comment on my blog and hope you don't think that i in any way copied off of you with the bezel... i have a book called 'semiprecious salvage' that i have been trying techniques from since september... just don't want you to think i am like that... it's kind of funny, because esther is on this same path - the resin, soldering, etc... it's fun to stretch!
