Autumn

It is a grey blustery autumn day. The wind seems determined to tear the last of the leaves from the trees. I thought I would share a couple of photos I took in the garden and just down the road.

Can you see how the wind is blowing through the hasel?

Tried to get a good photo of these rose hips, but the wind just kept moving them around.

Just autumn goodness.

The pear tree is already bare, save for a few stray hasel leaves, caught in the branches.

No words needed.

The birch is still clinging to the last leaves.

The woods look dark and somber, the hops gardens are empty.

This really looks like November, doesn't it?

Kiki joined me down at the field.

The last rose.

very beautiful... our trees peaked during heavy rains - so the leaves were swept away quickly... your world is beautiful - hope you have a fire going!

Wunderschöne Herbstimpressionen. Ich habe heute gemeinsam mit meiner Mutter auch unseren Balkon winterfest gemacht. Und Deine Rose ist wunderschön!

It is so very nice to see your little corner of the world. I especially love the little house and the leaves at the tips of those branches... remind me of those glass head pins I keep seeing.
Enjoy the day!

The last rose of summer, so beautiful and strong to come when it is least expected.

Renate, I enjoyed all the lovely photographs, seeing how one season is coming to an end, autumn, which is my favorite time of the year, and preparing for the cold winter ahead. I love the photograph of the yellow house....is it your home or someone elses?

Oh Hermanita,

The only thing I can think of that is good about northern fall/winter seasons is you get to wear sweaters and layers!!! And everytime I think well it might not be to bad I see a picture and know that even the cutest sweater can't make me move back!!!!

I'll bottle up a bit of sun and surf for you when we have our beach day this week!!
